Carbon Updates
Carbon Updates Platform
Overview
Climate adaptation and carbon finance efforts are often hindered by fragmented data, limited access to actionable insights, and lack of scalable, automated tools.
Carbon Updates solves this by integrating AI-powered analytics, carbon impact modeling, and 3D spatial processing into a unified dashboard, empowering stakeholders (businesses, governments, and researchers) to:
Measure greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and create decarbonization strategies.
Visualize and simulate climate adaptation scenarios.
Access verified climate finance opportunities through transparent reporting and actionable climate intelligence.
👉 Carbon Updates uniquely integrates 3D spatial modeling (including support for user-uploaded 3D files), advanced AI analytics, and a transparent carbon finance module.
👉 It goes further providing a unified portal where stakeholders can simulate decarbonization strategies using their own local models alongside global satellite data, and directly connect these insights with verified carbon financing and offset projects.
👉 The platform leverages EO data for planetary-scale monitoring but it combines these datasets with predictive computational geometry and real-time IoT (Internet of Things) inputs, allowing a higher degree of scenario testing and customized visualization for communities, businesses, and policymakers.

The platform is publicly accessible, without login, at https://world.carbonupdates.com. Government-validated users work in a unified dashboard (dashboard.carbonupdates.com) where they can upload and analyze spatial data, simulate decarbonization strategies, and track greenhouse gas emissions.
Unlike traditional monitoring solutions, Carbon Updates empowers users with real-time actionable insights through:
Integration of satellite and ground sensor data
AI-powered climate and carbon impact simulations
Carbon finance transparency, enabling direct connection to offset and funding opportunities
Open, customizable 3D model processing for high-resolution scenario planning.
👉 Real-time Carbon Credits: Verifiable credits generated through smart-metering (Smart MCB-32 A) and renewable energy transitions.
👉 Digital Wallet & Settlement: Immediate 1200 NPR/year Green Token rewards for citizens and x402-powered settlements via the x402 protocol (an open, web-native payment standard).
The project utilizes a dual-plane governance model:
🧩 an Activity Plane (managed by partners like Yeti Airlines and local municipalities for on-ground projects).
🔐 a Control Plane (secured by Quantum Bits Pvt. Ltd. and specialized experts) ensuring data security, x402 implementation, and financial regulatory compliance.
Eligible Local Governments (78 Municipalities)
- General Portal: Most municipalities can be accessed via the standard Nepal government format: [municipalityname]mun.gov.np.
- Priority Project Sites:
